Gordon Mann

Chief Executive

Following a career in Local Government as Director of Planning with Dumfries and Galloway, Shetland and Banff and Buchan Councils Gordon set up the Crichton Development Company and led the team that developed the former mental hospital into an award winning University, Business Campus and events and conference centre. He was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to higher education,  He is a Fellow of the RICS and a member of the RTPI.Gordon was President of the Chamber from 2007 until 2009 when he took on the role as Chief Executive on a part time basis

Amanda Hannah

Business Development Executive

Amanda started her career as an NVQ Assessor/Internal Verifier in Dumfries; worked closely with businesses and schools in the region as an Enterprise in Education Adviser with Careers Scotland, as a Social Education Worker with Aberlour Child Care Trust and as Careers and Education Manager covering the whole of Scotland with the RICS in Edinburgh. 
She has an MA (Hons) Degree in Modern History, a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Education from the University of Dundee. She has just achieved a Modern Apprenticeship NVQ Level 4 in Management. Amanda has worked for the Chamber as the Business Development Executive since 2007

Yvonne Smith

Administrator

Yvonne has a wide range of administative and financial skills and provides the administrative and financial support for the Chamber and the Mountain Bike Business Network. Yvonne works two days a week.
