Gordon MannChief ExecutiveFollowing a career in Local Government as Director of Planning with Dumfries and Galloway, Shetland and Banff and Buchan Councils Gordon set up the Crichton Development Company and led the team that developed the former mental hospital into an award winning University, Business Campus and events and conference centre. He was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to higher education, He is a non executive member of the National Committee for Scotland of the Forestry Commission and he Chairs the Solway Firth Partnership. He is a Fellow of the RICS and a member of the RTPI. Gordon was President of the Chamber from 2007 until 2009 when he took on the role as part time Chief Executive and since November 2011 has worked full time for the Chamber. Amanda HannahBusiness Development ExecutiveAmanda started her career as an NVQ Assessor/Internal Verifier in Dumfries; worked closely with businesses and schools in the region as an Enterprise in Education Adviser with Careers Scotland, as a Social Education Worker with Aberlour Child Care Trust and as Careers and Education Manager covering the whole of Scotland with the RICS in Edinburgh.
