So what is Chamber Merchant Services?

Chamber Merchant Services allow businesses to process debit and credit card payments at very competitive rates.
The service is aimed at businesses who cannot currently accept payment by credit or debit cards, or those who already have card payment facilities but would like to pay less for them.
In addition to discounted transaction fees, customers benefit from discounted terminal hire and no service fees.

Who would Chamber Merchant Services be of interest to?

Whether you take payments over the phone, over the counter or from the internet, they have a product that will meet your needs. There are also Mobile Point-of-Sales if you only need access to something short term, great if you take payments at events, trade shows or exhibitions. Money from your business sales will be in your account in 3-4 days. You are also able to view your statements online whenever you wish so you can keep track of your account.

What is Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)?

Through Bank of Scotland Merchant Services you can now offer your international customers the ability to pay in their own currency when using foreign cards. At point-of-sale, once the customer has selected the currency they wish to use, the transaction will stay in that currency until it is completed. The funds are then transferred in Sterling in to your bank account. Your business will receive an agreed percentage of the foreign currency turnover. Customers are also more likely to purchase more when transacting in a foreign currency.

What if I am an existing First Data customer?

Existing First Data customers who are Chamber members will be eligible to transfer on to the special rates.
