    A new, free of charge initiative devised by VisitScotland to encourage more Scottish tourism businesses to become more sustainable and eventually become members of the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS). The initiative acts as a "stepping stone" for businesses to join GTBS within two years by providing simple advice on improving their environmental impact and helping them takle the first step to becoming more sustainable. Going Green is free and all members will receive email updates and information which will provide ideas, tips and case studies on becoming greener. The only criterion for joining the initiative is that businesses must be participating in a relevant VisitScotland Quality Assurance Scheme.
