Chambers and SMAS to help manufacturers boost productivity
A new partnership between the Chambers of Commerce and the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) invites manufacturers to discover how to make their businesses more efficient, more productive and more profitable by becoming a Lean Enterprise.
SMAS results in its first 3 years have been extremely successful; almost 200 businesses have achieved an average of more than £100k of productivity gains following on average a 10 day project with SMAS.

SMAS offers Scottish manufacturers a free one-day manufacturing review which can then be followed up with up to 10 days of productivity improvement support. SMAS is unique in that it brings independent, hands-on, practical support based on best-practice processes which improve productivity.
In addition to hands-on support, SMAS runs a full programme of events, best practice visits and provides tailored support to individual companies and is seeking to increase its impact to manufacturing businesses across the whole of
