Thursday, 23 December 2021

LOCAL MP David Mundell has toured the Annan base of an expanding industrial solutions enterprise.

More than 70 people are now employed by Eco Group companies from their state-of-the-art headquarters at Annan Business Park.

Mr Mundell was shown around by founder and managing director Eddie Black, who outlined the diverse range of skills, problem-solving and services the businesses in the Eco Group offer to client organisations of all sizes.

The swift response of Eco in dealing with clients' needs has seen demand for their services significantly increase from the private and public sector during the pandemic.

The Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale MP stated he was impressed by the breadth of expertise and equipment the family-owned businesses could mobilise during emergency responses.

Their range of services includes manufacture and supply; dry ice blasting; training; design, build and fit out; upholstery; communications; IT; process solutions; creative design and marketing.

Mr Mundell said: "I was delighted when Eddie was able to secure their well-located site at the new Annan business park and I've not been disappointed.

"Eddie and his team pride themselves on their ethical approach to business and have a real drive and a can-do attitude in delivering for their customers.

"The well thought out design of Eco’s new HQ, convenient for the A75, and the excellent facilities reflects the company's ambition and high standards."

Mr Black, a native of the Annan area, said: "We were delighted David was able to visit our new headquarters where we demonstrated our commitment to the local area, securing existing jobs as well as bringing in new jobs. We also shared our future plans and ambitions."
