One of Europe’s largest producers of electricity and heat, Vattenfall is focussed on making fossil-fuel-free living possible within a generation. Here in south west Scotland, the company is building South Kyle Wind Farm, a 240MW project north of Carsphairn and, through Vattenfall’s focus on maximising local opportunities, the construction project has supported hundreds of jobs and spent millions with businesses across the south west.
With the construction of South Kyle Wind Farm nearing its conclusion, Vattenfall wants to build on this local approach, creating more opportunities for local businesses with pipeline projects including their proposed Quantans Hill Wind Farm in Dumfries and Galloway.
